The first-ever Arunachal GI Mahotsav 2025 at Select Citywalk Mall, Delhi, was a vibrant celebration of the state’s rich heritage, craftsmanship, and cuisine. Featuring 20 GI-tagged products, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with several vendors selling out their unique offerings.

Visitors indulged in exquisite agricultural treasures like Arunachal Orange, Adi Kekir (ginger), Singpho Phalap (tea), and Khaw Tai (rice), alongside traditional beverages and handwoven textiles from the Idu Mishmi, Apatani, Monpa, and Tai Khamti communities. Intricately crafted Monpa handmade paper, Wancho wooden artifacts, and the iconic Dao sword were among the highlights that captivated attendees.

Adding to the immersive experience, cultural performances such as Aji Lhamu, Snow Lion, and Woraang dances brought Arunachal’s folklore to life, enthralling the audience with their rhythm and grace.

Which is the most beautiful tribe in Arunachal Pradesh?
Apatani women were considered to be the most beautiful in Arunachal Pradesh. Men from other tribes would kidnap them, to prevent which young Tani girls were given bamboo nose-plugs to make them look less appealing and their faces were tattooed to identify them.
