A state-of-the-art Sports Complex has been inaugurated at Tuting, Upper Siang District, under Operation Sadbhavana, in collaboration with the Deputy Commissioner and Spear Corps of the Indian Army.

The facility features a FIFA-standard Futsal Court, two Volleyball Courts with all-weather surfaces, and an eco-friendly design, fostering sports development and sustainability.

More than just a sports arena, the complex will serve as a hub for training, inter-village tournaments, cultural events, and social gatherings, strengthening youth engagement and community bonds.

The Commonwealth analysis mentions the following three benefits in particular of using sport to address SDG 3:-
Health benefits of sport and physical activity:- Levels of physical inactivity are rising worldwide and with 3.2 million deaths per year, it is the fourth leading risk factor for global mortality.
