Arunachal Pradesh is known for its natural beauty and warm, friendly communities. To keep our villages clean and healthy, the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Shri Ojing Tasing, has inaugurated the Clean Model Village Kebang Solé in Siang district. This initiative is part of the #SwachhtaHiSeva campaign.

Under this project, 12 villages in Siang district will be developed as Clean Model Villages. The aim is to improve sanitation, waste management, and hygiene while encouraging people to work together to care for their surroundings. A clean environment leads to better health, more tourism, and a happier life for all.

How to keep our environment clean?
In order to keep the environment clean, reduce, reuse and recycle our waste by using reusable bags and bottles and sorting recyclables. Conserve energy by turning off lights and electronics and using energy-efficient appliances. Conserve water by taking shorter showers and fixing leaks. Also, minimize driving by walking, biking or carpooling and opt for eco-friendly products like reusable items instead of single-use plastics.
