Every person is born with some specific skill-set or talent, but not all are fortunate enough to avail the best of guidance in pursuing them during their academic journey. In some cases, several children are also left out of the formal education system due to hardships and social limitations.

Under such circumstances, we now have numerous individuals pertaining to different age brackets with an unemployment tag. Many lack formal education or are school / college dropouts.

In order to aid their livelihood, first-hand training and skill development programmes organised by the competent authorities play an important role in teaching skills to less privileged people. Several free skill development and training programmes are regularly organised by administrations for unemployed youth and women to create opportunities for them, as well as for workers of Ashas, Anganwadis, Self-Help Groups, and such in agriculture, education (teacher training), horticulture sector and so on; to enhance their skills, knowledge and productivity with new age strategies and technology.

These programmes assist underprivileged individuals in developing their abilities so they can find employment or start their own businesses to support themselves. It takes a person to be open to experimentation in order to learn new abilities, which then nurtures their innate talent.

Bridging the large skill-gap in a region also expands the country's talented workforce, thereby increasing opportunities for underdeveloped industries and broadening the country's overall economic potential.
