Digital Arunachal aims to ensure that Government services, facilities and information are made available to citizens electronically by improving the online infrastructure and by increasing internet connectivity within the state in tune with the vision of making the country digitally empowered. The initiative includes plans to connect rural areas with high-speed internet networks and incorporate initiatives such as smart classroom in schools, digital payment modes, digital health sector, electronic public distribution system, GeM, digital network through social media, e-commerce etc.
Currently, Arunachal Pradesh has made significant progress in this context. For instance, it has become the first State in North East India to introduce Smart e-Public Distribution System (e-PDS) – a solution developed by the Madras Security Printers Company. Nirjuli Village-1 in Papum Pare district has been declared as the first digital village of Arunachal Pradesh. Additionally, the state has opted for the ‘Digital Arunachal’ campaign to actualize easy benefits for the people living in the remotest parts of the state.
MyGov Arunachal Pradesh invites suggestions on ways to enhance the digital sector and on how to encourage people to tap into the scope of digitalization for more robust development in the state.

Terming tourism as a money spinner for the state, the prime minister said that with the coming up of the greenfield airport and rail network, the industry would flourish and many unemployed youth would get employment opportunities.
