Disaster management and rescue response

When it comes to unexpected large-scale crises such as natural disasters, inclusive participation from every liable administrative department and the general public can easily help surge from the situation. During the initial stages of the recent pandemic outburst, albeit the state government had to deal with the unexpected crisis, the administration was pretty quick and active in handling the situation. While understanding the virus took a bit of time, but the active and prompt interventions from the state government timely contained the pandemic from dissipating into a massive situation.

Although Arunachal's Department of Disaster Management or the State itself in general, have limited high-tech rescue equipment and resources, however, the division is always on the lookout and ever-ready to dive into rescue missions and help in distressing situations.

The 12th NDRF-Itanagar our state's rescue and relief force has been actively contributing towards safety and rescue missions during disaster and adversity across the region. Arunachal has difficult terrain, so its but natural to have landslides, earthquakes and flash floods. The 12th NDRF-Itanagar are often witnessed promptly executing plans and taking action, be it on the ground zero of rescuing victims under landslides, rockslides, or earthquakes, to stranded people in between flash floods.

MyGov Arunachal calls for a discussion regarding disaster management and response in our state as well as ways(suggestions) to reinforce safety and security during the occurrence of natural disasters.
