The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, introduced the CMAAY in 2018 to accord quality and cashless health care services to the people of the State envisaging Universal Health care for all by 2030 by closing gaps in secondary and tertiary care and improving the efficiency of the public healthcare system.

Under CMAAY, cashless healthcare up to Rs. 5 lakhs can be availed by the people of Arunachal with financial constraints. Citizens are eligible for up to Rs 1 lakh in secondary care and up to Rs 4 lakh in tertiary treatment. This programme will cover approximately 23 distinct therapy techniques. All CMAAY beneficiaries are eligible for cashless treatment at any empaneled hospital. As of May 2022, about 1,14,193 families and 4,91,458 people have benefited from the scheme.

For further assistance the citizen of Arunachal Pradesh can call on that free number and can ask them about more information if required. The main objective of this scheme To reduce out of pocket expenses for the identified poor & deprived families of the state, other indigenous population and State Government Employees. To provide quality treatment for various defined illnesses etc.
