With the purpose of putting a stop to the rapid spread of Covid-19 and TB in the state, Govt. Of Arunachal Pradesh recently launched an Active Case Finding campaign called Aashwasan, initiated by the Piramal Swasthya Management & Research Institute under the Tribal Health Collaborative program, Anamaya.

One of the notable key highlights of this abhiyan is that the potential patients can avail home testing facility. Adding on, free treatment will be provided to early-stage TB patients, and GoAP will also extend a financial aid of ₹ 500 to the patients monthly during the treatment period. With a target set to completely eradicate TB by 2025, this campaign will run awareness programmes using mobile vehicles through the tribal blocks and sensitise people on matters related to covid-19 and TB. This initiative is a huge step towards a much healthier Arunachal Pradesh, and with cooperation of the common masses, the vision of a Covid/TB free state can soon be realised.

Through this discussion, we invite our citizens to share their feedback on how this abhiyan can be a major step towards the welfare of the rural dwellers. What other measures can be taken as part of this innovative approach to make it more productive?
