Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy.

The Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy, formerly known as the ‘Chief Minister trophy’, is the largest and most prestigious tournament event in the State of Arunachal Pradesh. Players from across the state participate every year in the event to honor and remember the Late Havildar Hangpan Dada (awardee of the Ashoka Chakra) and his sacrifice for our country.
The tournament is conducted annually at the Constituency, District and State level where men and women partake in the event, mainly football and volleyball, and compete to emerge at the top. The Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy is the best platform for the aspiring young players from across the state to showcase their skills, and also provide opportunities to be spotted by various sports clubs and agencies including eminent sports personalities. This is also a great opportunity especially for the rural areas of the state as well.
The winners are awarded trophies and cash in all the Constituency, District and State
level tournaments. Such events encourage players to achieve their dreams, expand the scope for careers in sports in the state, and also promote the name of the state & the country as a whole in the world of sports.
