On 20 February 1987, the erstwhile NEFA was declared as the 24th state of the Republic of India. Ever since then, this day has become a significant one in the history of the state.
Celebrating 33 glorious years of attaining statehood, Arunachal Pradesh today stands at the helm of progress; from the perspective of preserving its unique traditional heritage to the achieving of numerous developmental goals to current listing one of the most rapidly developing regions in the country. Blessed with an abundance of natural beauty and brimming with tremendous potential, the beautiful state of Arunachal Pradesh is today recognized globally for being a kind of paradise on earth. It is known as an anthropological, cultural, environmental and ecological hotspot, not to forget the fact that most people wish to visit this hidden beauty at least once in their lifetime.
Nestled in the northeastern-most part of the country and tucked away in the remote reaches of the mighty Himalayas, Arunachal Pradesh or 'the land of the dawn-lit mountains' is home to a wide number of tribes. Resplendent with their unique history, culture and belief systems, these tribes make up the majority of Arunachal Pradesh's population. Not to forget, that in addition to this, Arunachal Pradesh also has a significant connection with ancient India and its spiritual heritage.
The state is a living celebration of the richness of life and its myriad colors: from the spiritual to the cultural to the mundane to the wilderness of the natural world.
In terms of urban innovation and development, it is noteworthy to mention that in recent years, Arunachal Pradesh has taken a momentous leap in terms of comprehensive growth across all sectors.
