Embracing global collaboration and Promoting local produce

An important step has been taken in encouraging agricultural exports from the region with the recent partnership between the Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board (APAMB) and Lulu Hypermarket LLC, Dubai, UAE. Arunachal Pradesh's agricultural goods are expected to have a greater worldwide footprint and new opportunities for farmers owing to this five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed on November 3, 2023, during the World Food India 2023 event.
Under the terms of the agreement, the state will export oranges, pumpkins, and other local produce to Gulf nations via the vast network of Lulu Hypermarkets, a multinational corporation with a significant global reach. This strategic alliance benefits farmers by giving them access to international markets and boosting the local economy in the area. The shared dedication to enabling export-focused marketing initiatives and researching prospects signifies a holistic strategy for broadening the global market for Indian farm goods.
Concurrently, Lulu Hypermarket and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase Indian agricultural exports, particularly millets, to the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCCs). This action, which was formalized during the World India Food (WIF) 2023 conference in New Delhi, is in line with the goal of promoting Brand India internationally.
Dedicated shelf space for APEDA's products at Lulu Group stores, promotional efforts, and customer interaction through various events are all part of the partnership between APEDA and Lulu Hypermarket. Indian agricultural products are being marketed globally in a comprehensive manner, as evidenced by the joint commitment to facilitate export-oriented promotional programmes and explore opportunities through Lulu Group's international network.
This is good news as it shows that Arunachal Pradesh and India are committed to supporting economic growth, increasing exports, and enhancing the general well-being of farmers. It also raises awareness of the agricultural products from these regions. Emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in advancing sustainable agricultural practices and economic development, it is a commendable step towards exhibiting the wide range of products from agriculture and related sectors in the international arena.
Give your thoughts on the measures used to promote regional products and offer advice on how to do the same for regional goods in the global marketplace.
