The growing road connectivity to remote locations of Arunachal Pradesh

Connectivity between different regions is one of the most vital steps to a progressive community. The construction of strong and durable road, air, water and railway connections can not only significantly boost the economy of an area but also uplift the community by generating income opportunities. Arunachal Pradesh, being the largest territory in the North-Eastern regions of India, has the potential to carry big industries as well as produce and maintain high-quality demands.

Since 2014, the Government of India and the State Government are actively working and shifting focus towards the betterment of citizens living in remote and border areas away from the main town.

Both the central and state government strives to focus on developing Arunachal by building infrastructure and connectivity as the head starts for the overall nation's advancement. Recently, on 3rd January 2023, the Defence Minister of India, Shri Rajnath Singh, inaugurated 28 developmental projects, including - the Siyom Bridge, and the Moody bridge among the other projects in Arunachal Pradesh. These projects along with the upcoming Sela Tunnel will drastically reduce the time and distance travelled between the two regions, otherwise taking long hours of travel to reach; making the commute easier and more convenient for the travellers.

Not only will the duration and distance be reduced, but it will also open new and reachable tourist routes which will then generate income opportunities in the tourism sector. Initiatives focusing on infrastructure development have always been effective for a progressive community and with changing times, it won't be long before we will be able to easily reach the border areas of the state.

Calling out everyone to share your feedback and thoughts on giving focus to road connectivity in the remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
