Road maintenance and Traffic management as a responsibility.

Road connectivity makes a crucial contribution to the growth of the state and its economic and social development. Almost every passenger, commercial and industrial transports are carried out through roads in Arunachal Pradesh. The increase in the private vehicle ownership and urban transports has led to overburdening of roads not only in Itanagar and Naharlagun but all major cities of the country. This exaggeration of road promptly reduce the quality of roads, and most of the expenditure is spent on the maintenance of roads every year rather than expansion of the roads. The variations in weather and climate also make it extremely difficult to control the quality of roads in the state.

The roads in urban towns are exceedingly congested due to heavy traffic caused by private, commercial and government vehicles. Traffic issues in the state capital and Naharlagun town areas have turned into a huge menace for the commuters. It has turned into a harsh cliché where bad roads create traffic issues, and the traffic ceases any scope for the development of new roads. The daily struggle and effort of dodging traffic, pollution and rash drivers may cause chronic stress and many physiological problems. Traffic not only creates congestion issues, but it also gives rise to air pollution and sound pollution.

The capital administration and the citizens will have to work in tandem if the state wants to fight the traffic menace in the state capital and see any improvement in traffic and eventually in the lives of the citizens. But this might not be possible if the commuters continue to abuse the roads and break traffic rules. Maintaining traffic rule is a responsibility that should be followed by everyone including individual, commercial, private and government commuters.

MyGov Arunachal Pradesh seeks suggestions from the citizens on how the quality of the roads can be maintained and traffic issues can be managed by the administrations.

Fortunately MPLAD is already allowing MPs to use fund for Ambulances and installing CCTV cameras in the city .To Enhance this fortune we request that an MP should be allowed to use MPLAD fund for the following road safety measures
1. Eradicating the Black Spots in his/her constituency.
2. Establishing Safe School Zones with low budget road infrastructural Improvements and traffic calming.
3. Establishing Post Crash Care Guidance and Counseling centers in each district.
4. Pedestrian crossing

The number of Road accidents are increasing day by day in city and state . Government should out with some strict measures to decrease accidents like making licences very tough, Special one week classes should be given on awareness of road accidents , rules before giving licence. Speed controllers should be made mandatory all over the state ,lessons in text books on awareness of Road rules,Road accidents with multiple examples,stories.No more driving licence for the people who caught drunken

Reasons for mishaps over speeding ,drunk driving ,Talking on phone while .driving, Driving without helmet,Driving in the wrong direction of traffic flow ,jumping signal.30% of victims are pedestrians
I therefore request you to see that our state government does More Awareness programs, Introduce Lane driving by doing Road widenings,Wide foot paths and Zebra crossings for pedestrians all over the city.Lazer guns within the city roads as well along with all National highways.Strict punishments.

i) Where construction activities are taking place at multiple sites along the same or on parallel routes, construction activity and the movement of road users is co-ordinate to ensure that the total delay along the route or on signed alternative routes is within acceptable limits.
ii)In the urban environment, works requiring partial road closures on alternative routes should be phased, where possible, so that they are not undertaken at the same time.

i)Road users are accommodated through and around the construction zones safely with minimum of delays;
ii) Traffic control and the construction activities are co-ordinate to provide for safe and efficient flow of traffic
together with efficient, safe and rapid progress of the construction activity.
iii) Driver behavior is effectively influenced so that the speeds are reduced to the desired levels on the approaches to and within the construction zones;

As a basic starting point, the legal obligations of a road authority for safe operation of its network will require risk management systems and procedures to be in place that:

acknowledge road safety as a key objective in road network management;
provide for adequate regular safety inspection of the road network;
specify steps to be taken when unsafe conditions are detected.

जब तक रोड टेक्नोलॉजी नहीं आएगी तब तक रोड का यही हाल रहेगा ऊपर से सरकार के ठेकेदार जो रोड बनाने के नाम पर तारकोल डाल जाते है कब तक जनता अपने दिए हुए पैसे का सही मूल्य नही करेगी इक्वल एक काम हो सकता है जहां भी रोड खराब हो उस जगह के सामने वाले दुकानदार या मकान मालिक से उस जगह का भुगतान करवाया जाए या और देखा जाये की रोड एप्प पर कितने बजे रिपोर्ट करि हम सब को निकलना होगा र9अड़ कोई सरकार नहीं बनाती जनता का पैसा है अपना पैसा बचना है तो रोड के लिए आवाज उठानी ही पड़ेगी अन्यथा झेलो|
