In a momentous event on January 28, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, during his visit to West Kameng district, unveiled a slew of projects. The inauguration ceremony, graced by the presence of Honourable Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Honourable Member of Parliament Tapir Gao, and respected MLAs including Phurpa Tsering, D. W. Kharma, and Kumsi Sidisow, among others, marked a significant step towards advancing technology-enabled education in the region. One of the notable projects that was launched was Project TECH-SHALA (Technology-Enabled Creative and Holistic Lab).
TECH-SHALA is a special technology-centric lab initiated by Akriti Sagar, the West Kameng District Commissioner. It focuses on using technology to help kids grow better by improving their skills, encouraging creative thinking, and supporting their overall development. The project is all about making learning fun and creative with the help of technology. By fostering a space that encourages intellectual progress, TECH-SHALA intends to be the agent for the development of young minds within the district.
This ground-breaking tech-driven project is not limited to the nearby area; seven other innovative labs were made accessible throughout the expansive West Kameng district. Cutting-edge TECH-VADI labs are set up in Dangsing, Dirang, Wanghoo-II, Singcung, Khoina, Nafra, and Naktangbaw, Shergaon. In addition, the inauguration included the ASTROTECH LABs at GSS, Dirmag Village, and Upper Primary School, Bomdila, as well as the B.LA.C.K. Lab at District Hospital Bomdila, which is devoted to Braille Literacy for Accessibility, Creativity, and Knowledge.
Every Tech-VADI and Astrotech Lab serves as a source of technical innovation and basic literacy, extending to the most remote corners of West Kameng. These initiatives seek to offer opportunities and experiences that contribute to significant cognitive and individual growth. In addition to ushering in a new era in education, the introduction of these cutting-edge projects reaffirms the government's commitment to inclusive and progressive growth. Once all these labs are effectively up and running, they will be ideal locations for developing skills, encouraging innovation, and imparting knowledge, all of which will benefit the region's educational system as a whole.
Technology-driven education in the West Kameng area has a bright future ahead of it owing to the inevitable positive outcomes of TECH-SHALA, TECH-VADI, and ASTROTECH LAB. The government wants to provide students and those interested in learning with cutting-edge educational materials, which is why these labs have been carefully set up across the district.
Discuss, and feel free to provide feedback on these innovative projects and share any ideas that can enhance the state's education system. Your input is valuable to us.
