Arunachal Pradesh is undeniably one of those states in India which is bestowed with the gift of nature. The land of the dawn-lit mountains attracts tourists from all across the nation throughout the year due its pleasant climatic condition. However, in the last four decades, the state has recorded a steady rise in its annual mean temperature by 0.05 degree Celsius each year, leading to a total increase of 0.59 degree Celsius in the temperature. CO2 emissions and other pollutants have brought in alterations in the mood of the climatic conditions of Arunachal Pradesh, resulting in extreme hot or cold weathers, and sometimes heavy downpour of rain.
In order to counter the aforementioned issues, the GoAP has signed the Pakke Tiger Reserve 2047 Declaration on Climate Change Resilient and Responsive Arunachal Pradesh on 13th November 2021. The declaration anticipates to bring forward climate resilient development in the state through its five broad themes called the Panch Dharas.
Through this topic, we call upon the citizens to share their valuable inputs on the impact of climate change in Arunachal Pradesh. Also, in what ways can we individually contribute towards improving the issues related to it?

Human activities especially around capital region like cutting trees and hills for settlement/building commercial properties has greatly affect the natural eco system. Due to this many natural drains are effected and during monsoon they get diverted causing flood like situation and also accelerate land slide. Concerned authority should take legal action against irresponsible earth cutting.

Nature has blessed Arunachal Pradesh in abundance be it Hdyro-power generation capacity,untapped tourism spot, Beautiful landscape,Less population density but Somehow being the most naturally abundant state, the Practise of Shifting cultivation (jhum cultivation) is a serious threat to the ecological balance in the state. A new farming method should be introduced like Terrace cultivation etc to sustain the ecological balance in state.
