Why is Responsible Tourism Important?

Tourism in Arunachal Pradesh can support local businesses as well as create a bridge of communication between tourists and the local communities. However, if not structured, it could also adversely affect local communities and disturb the ecological balance.

Responsible tourism advocates the concept of sustainable tourism where the focus is on providing a tourism experience that will not have negative social, economic and environmental impact on the host community.

In this context, we invite citizens to share their views and opinions on why responsible tourism is important and does it need immediate focus in Arunachal Pradesh? If so, what could be the best practices towards a self-sustaining and eco-friendly tourism industry?
