Arunachal Pradesh is home to many communities, each with its own language, traditions, stories, festivals, customs and traditional knowledge. As life changes with time, it is important to document and pass these traditions on to the younger generation.
Preserving our heritage is not just about protecting the past. It is about keeping our traditions alive and making them easier for future generations to learn and understand. Community archives, digital platforms, local museums and cultural programmes can help document and share Arunachal’s diverse heritage.

What project recently got approval in Arunachal Pradesh?
The Indian government have approved two major mega-hydropower initiatives: the 1,720 MW Kamala Hydro Electric Project (costing ₹26,069.50 crore) across the Kamle, Kra Daadi and Kurung Kumey districts, and the 1,200 MW Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project (costing ₹14,105.83 crore) in the Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.
