Recently, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein launched the first Tai Khamti heritage archive website and released Lik Loka Ping-Nyep, highlighting the importance of keeping the community’s rich culture and literature alive.

Arunachal Pradesh is home to many communities, each with its own language, traditions, stories, festivals, customs and traditional knowledge. As life changes with time, it is important to document and pass these traditions on to the younger generation.

Preserving our heritage is not just about protecting the past. It is about keeping our traditions alive and making them easier for future generations to learn and understand. Community archives, digital platforms, local museums and cultural programmes can help document and share Arunachal’s diverse heritage.

Join the Discussion on MyGov Arunachal Pradesh:

* How can we create similar platforms to document the culture and heritage of different communities across Arunachal Pradesh?

* How can technology help preserve local languages, folklore, traditional stories and oral traditions?

* What can schools and colleges do to help young people learn about and stay connected with their cultural roots?
