Social Responsibility with accountability and transparency

In testing times such as this, health and economy are the two most important aspects that need to be safeguarded. The situation also brings opportunities for collaboration for the administrations and its citizens to come forward and work together.

We have seen many inspiring stories of individuals, organizations and institutions coming together in our fight against the pandemic and not to forget the selfless services of our health workers and security forces.

Responsible Arunachal

During this unprecedented time, the denizens of Arunachal Pradesh decided to contribute and make proper use of their time by performing social responsibilities apart from adhering to the mandatory decrees such as proper sanitation, maintaining social distancing, wearing masks etc.

In the midst of the lockdown, the citizens of the state took it upon themselves to plant flowers and trees in between the newly constructed dividers of the National Highway, while some people voluntarily sewed and distributed free handmade masks and essential goods to the fellow needy citizens. Our grampreraks have been instrumental in creating awareness on COVID-19 in the remotest of villages. Furthermore, several individuals have also initiated teaching and educating online for free. Amidst the lockdown, various organizations and volunteers stepped up to help the distressed citizens & migrants, as well as the abandoned stray animals across the state.

The pandemic has surprised us but we need to sustain and grow, along with taking care of health and hygiene. Our growth is in our hand, HPM’s calls for Aatmanirbhar Bharat is an important one, and we at Arunachal should look to promote our local resources and products. Being productive is the key to accomplishment.

Inviting all to share your take on how a citizen can be more responsible and what contributions can one make towards the society amidst the ongoing pandemic?
