With great power comes great responsibility.
Of all the living species, humans have the utmost privilege to put cognitive thoughts into physical action. Today, environmental issues are one of the top concerns globally due to past human activities. Aren’t we morally and ethically obliged to take action and protect our only home, Earth?

Destruction tags along with Development
We all want comfort for as long as we live. But should we accept the conveniences available today at the cost of environmental sustainability?

The ice belts are melting, our ozone layer is depleting and natural disasters are caving in at an alarming rate in recent times. This is primarily due to overexploitation of natural resources and other human activities including the implementation of extensive developmental strategies such as hydropower projects, industrial projects, etc. which are harmful to the environment in the long run but offer nicety to the public in the short-run. The benefits generated through these projects are to benefit the underprivileged sections of our society by providing useful amenities to all. However, it has been observed time and again that the impact these projects have on the environment along with various species of flora and faunas is concerning.

This is a long-debated topic between the yay-sayers and nay-sayers, whether the developmental projects with the inevitable destruction of nature, should be carried out or all the human activities that cause disruption to the environment should be ceased altogether. With higher expectations and demands of development & comfort living, the rate of damage to the environment is increasing too.

Destruction indeed tags along with development; it's inevitable until we fix the problem to reform sustainable transformation.

MyGov-Arunachal Pradesh seeks your valuable opinions and suggestions on how development can be advanced while protecting and preserving our home planet, Earth.

Environmental balance has been one of the primary reasons why sustainability has been maintained for thousands of years. If development is achieved at the cost of spoiling environment, then development loses its sheen. The second fastest growing country in the world will need to ensure that its environment security is not compromised.
